The Southeast is Big!

I have the Regional Laws/Ordinances page almost finished. It isn’t so much a “law and ordinance” page as a reference page.

Soon will be starting on the Training parts! I have a lot of information to just copy/paste in so it will go fast.

Once more of the site is done, these posts will be hidden and there will be a static page instead. Maybe.

If anyone is interested in helping with this project, please let me know.

Legal Info Mostly Done!

Check it out! The state laws, or rather the listing of them, are done. Links to the Southern States laws pertaining to Service Dogs are listed. Some have further information, some do not. Of the ten federal laws that cover people with disabilities, three relate to those of us with Service Dogs. I have covered the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Air Carriers Access Act I still need to do the Fair Housing Act. I know nothing about it and am not looking forward to delving into it. That makes me procrastinate.

I am about to start researching the local resources available in most towns and cities. Laws in regards to Service Dogs can vary tremendously so instead I will just cover who and where to go to get more information. At least I hope to be able to do that.

After that, or perhaps during that, I will also be starting the training, equipment, and selection that goes into having and getting a Service Dog. The previous site had a bunch of stuff but it was very scattered.

If any one would like to help, just let me know!

Update in Progress

This site, bless its heart, has sat here, ignored, declining, unwanted. Sad, isn’t it? Hardly any of the links work and most of the SDs featured have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. When they transitioned, they took with them a piece of our heart, pieces that only a SD can take. And this sad, lonely site didn’t help any.

Well no more! Time to open the windows and let in fresh air! I have decided it is time to renovate it. The site will be updated to the WordPress platform which will look all snazzy and cool. And easy to update!

So until then, please be patient and return in a month or so (or longer, depends on how quick I can pull it together).
